Abstract :
Advances in virtualization are making it possible to facilitate the learning of students at a distance. Instructors can teach complex skills with even greater ease than had been afforded in traditional classrooms. Virtualization provides opportunities for dealing with heterogeneous groups, facilitating instructional design possibilities for a diverse audience, and enhancing student - teacher interactions. It also provides opportunities for modeling, addressing the students´ zone of proximal development, and includes possibilities for collaborative learning.
