Abstract :
Subjectivity is shown as the basic category in which personhood is constituted. In turn, subjectivity articulates itself mainly in language of mind (LOM), which relies on propositional attitudes as its main constituents. Intra- and intersubjective mental state systems (MSS) build the foundations for communication, interaction and cooperation between men and androids and men as well. If the criteria for personhood are accomplishable also for androids, then the possible ascription of proto-conscience comes into reach. Based on this, mutual acknowledgement as reflecting and acting subjects between androids and men will become possibly practicable.
