Abstract :
Summary form only given, as follows. Ferroelectric Barium Strontium Titanate (Ba(1−x)SrxTiO3, BST) thin film varactor technology is succesfully applied to antenna miniaturization and reconfiguration. CPW square-ring slot antennas with and without varactors are characterized. The miniaturized antenna is reduced by 31% compared to an antenna without varactors. The miniaturized antenna´s frequency is reconfigurable from 5.8 to 6.1GHz with a DC biasing of 3V. Fabrication details and measurement setup are also presented.
