Abstract
A simulation study is presented of the behavior of a bus local area network working under combined voice and data traffic is presented. The authors have adhered as closely as possible to the IEEE standards 802.3 (Ethernet, CSMA/CD) and 802.4 (token-bus). Curves are given to evaluate the probability of losing voice packets and the average delay of data packets
