Abstract :
Azimuthal asymmetry of magnetic field in magnetic injection guns (MIGs) is studied. The stability of MIGs in azimuthal symmetry situation is studied in many papers. But the azimuthal asymmetry in guns hasn´t been discussed yet. This paper use CST software to create the 3D model of MIGs and simulate the condition that magnetic field axis transverse offset and azimuthal offset. The result shows the beam performance decrease rapidly when operate in the magnetic field axis offset situation.
