Abstract :
A dual-band high directive patch antenna is given in this paper. The patch antenna can work in dual-band by covering single layer frequency selective surfaces with thick concentric square loop cell-as an alternative to a dielectric electromagnetic band gap superstrate. At the same time, the directivity of patch antenna will be enhanced greatly for the periodic array contracting the wave radiating from patch cell.
