Abstract :
A novel compact ridge waveguide band-stop filter with harmonic suppression is presented in this paper. The filter is composed of a waveguide, a ridge and some stagger-placed tuning screws. To validate the structure, an order-3 filter is designed, simulated and optimized as an example. The stop-band of the filter is 18-20GHz and pass-band frequency range is 8-12 GHz. In addition, we have designed an order-11 filter to demonstrate the bandwidth and suppression can be improved by increasing the number of orders.
