Abstract
In this paper, the technology of TGA (TG) combined with Fourier infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) was applied to study the characteristics of pyrolysis of biomass (rice straw) and release characteristics of the gas products. It is showed that the gas products (including H2O, CO2, CO, CH4 and some organic carbohydrate mixtures) mainly precipitate in the temperature range of 200 to 400degC, and the precipitating peak are well agreement with weight loss curves. Pyrolysis kinetic parameters of rice straw pyrolysis of different heating rates can be achieved by Coats-Redfern method, which provides theoretical foundation for further study on the practical pyrolysis of biomass.
