  • Abstract
Inference on aspects influencing data quality should be based on or derived from experience. In this work we implement a Fuzzy Set Theory approach to provide an assessment of data quality from a near-real time marine sensor network. The Fuzzy System firstly captures tacit knowledge using membership functions, and then uses these membership functions along with statistics derived from the data themselves to assess the quality of each measurement from the sensor network.
