Abstract :
A further step towards the realization of an innovative instrument for power measurements in DVB-T systems is taken. Past research activity was addressed to the design of the digital processing section, and specifically on the optimization of the measurement algorithm based on sequential Burg estimator. The present work accounts for the digitizing section of the instrument. In particular, bandpass sampling is proposed and investigated with the aim of containing its hardware resource demand and, ultimately, its cost. The results of a number of experiments conducted on DVB-T laboratory signals confirm the proposal´s efficacy and reliability.
