Abstract :
A fuzzy verification diagnostic method is proposed to cope with the element tolerances problem existing in analog-circuit fault diagnosis. The element tolerances are defined as fuzzy sets and these definitions are utilized in the diagnostic equations to incorporate the fault location and evaluation process in order to enhance the robustness of the diagnosis method. An automatic fault-diagnosis system is formed using the automatic test equipment and the proposed fuzzy method. A practical example using the system to diagnose a real circuit is given. Satisfactory results were obtained
