Abstract
The purpose of this paper is trying to gain a better understanding of the role of strategies in the quantitative evaluation process of large-scale information systems and in the alignment between system effectiveness and operational effectiveness. Also, we explores the contribution of strategies to the improvement of operational performance after the implementation of large-scale systems. We uses the results of a survey in the service sector to investigate the stated issue. Initial findings from factor analysis indicated that dimensions such as quality of information and quality of the service stemming from system effectiveness, and performance objectives such as quality and speed stemming from operational effectiveness are important to quantitative evaluation of large-scale systems, and significantly well correlated factors that promote the alignment between system effectiveness and operational effectiveness. Multiple regression analysis provides an explanation of the role of strategy, in aligning large-scale information systems and operational effectiveness and their influence on the improvement of operational performance.
