A 4000 km single channel laboratory transmission experiment in a recirculating loop with more than 100 km amplifier spacing and a 245 km field transmission experiment of chirped 4×2.5 Gbit/s WDM-signals over dispersion compensated standard fibre trunks are demonstrated
