Abstract
A discussion is presented of the use of a packet-switching LAN, the Pseudo Star, as the nucleus of an ISDN PBX. Simulation results demonstrate that under heavy load its temporal behavior is compatible with packetized voice-handling, which is crucial in such a system. The authors also describe the medium access method and the simulation model used, in which it is assumed that the subnet be modeled as a slotted bus with dynamic allocation
