Abstract :
This paper describes a well log correlation system based on wavelet transform and knowledge. The system consists of two parts, the knowledge-based standard strata recognition and the small strata correlation that is based on wavelet transform. Unlike other well log correlation methods, this system uses multiscale information provided by a particular class of wavelet transform, and then it can make the correlation from coarse to fine
