  • Abstract
    Middleware design for wireless sensor network is a novel approach to solve the complexity of the development and deployment of the wireless sensor network applications. Complex event processing system for wireless sensor network is proposed and evaluated. The system utilized the computing power of the network nodes to reduce the network communication data, so that it can save the nodes´ energy. The events processing queries are split into server queries and nodes´ queries, so the real-time events are processed on the node locally. Thus the real-time performance of the system can be increased. The energy saving and performance gaining are roughly evaluated to illustrate the advantages of the system. The future work about the study is discussed as well.
