Abstract :
This presentation describes the experience of a local transmission operator in the PJM interconnection. It describes the data that are automatically transmitted between the local transmission operator´s energy management system (EMS) and the EMS of the independent system operator (ISO), the sharing of control authority over transmission facilities and the interaction between the local operator and the ISO operator. The changes that occurred as additional transmission owners and independent generation owners have joined PJM are also described.
