Abstract :
This paper focuses on the hybrid control approach to the idle speed control problem in automotive engine. A linear hybrid model with uncertainties in idle mode is used, and the uncertain linear switching systems with minimum and maximum dwell times is associated to approximate the hybrid model. After considering the idle speed control problem as the safety problem for the uncertain linear switching systems, the hybrid controller synthesis method is given. Finally, some simulation results of idle speed control show the efficiency of the proposed technology.
