In this study, a mediated model is built to explore in detail the impact of organization flatness, which is an representation of flexible organization, on the mass customization capability. The multiple regression analyses show that the supply chain planning and corporation coordination mediate the impact of organization flatness on mass customization capability. The findings help the explanation of contradictory findings from extant literature and provide valuable managerial implications to practitioners.
