Abstract
The author describes what today\´s modern airship, "blimp", can offer to those wishing to have an airborne platform capability. The advantages of airships as remote sensing platforms include payload capacity, platform stability, low noise, long endurance and wide operating altitude range. A description is given of the aircraft available from the American Blimp Corporation
