Abstract :
CPCE Project aims at developing a process-centered environment kernel for supporting `focused collaborative work´. Focused collaboration requires a high level of adaptability and dynamic flexibility. The paper stresses the importance of both process model and enactment mechanisms evolution. The main design decisions, concepts, and techniques used to satisfy these requirements are discussed: object-oriented process modeling, reflection, open implementation and meta object protocol, meta process modeling and support. A prototype of dedicated environment, built by customizing the kernel, and devoted to the collaborative review/inspection of software products, illustrates the proposal
