Abstract :
The matrix operator technique for modeling mode dinraction is presented. This approach was developed with B view to substantiate some modal expansion methods. It allows one to prove the correctness of matrix operator models and to investigate the convergence of approximate solutions analytically. In this paper, the technique is applied to the analysis of two-port wave transformers. The developed models have the form of Cayley´s transform of operator matrices. The approach can be useful for analytic-numerical solution of various electromagnetic problems.
