Abstract
A novel structure to implement narrow as well as moderately wide transition width computationally efficient finite impulse response (FIR) filters is presented. The structure yields 20%-40% savings in the number of multipliers for moderately wide transition-width filters. The saving for the narrow transition-width filters increases with decreasing transition-width
