Abstract :
Connection with the actual using issues of inter-organizational information systems(IOS), this study focuses on analysis assimilation of inter-organizational information systems in the post-implementation stage within organizations. Based on knowledge related theory, we discuss the organizational knowledge application process how to influence IOS assimilation, building a theoretical model of relationships among knowledge acquisition, knowledge sharing, knowledge utilization and integration and IOS assimilation. Survey data from companies as the main source of data analysis. The hypotheses are tested using the partial least squares analyses method. The results demonstrate that knowledge acquisition, knowledge sharing, knowledge utilization and integration are all have significant impact on IOS assimilation, specifically, knowledge sharing, knowledge utilization and integration play an important role in mediating the effect of knowledge acquisition on IOS assimilation, which provide strong support knowledge application related variables as predictors of IOS assimilation. Conclusion of the study will enrich the information systems adoption and assimilation theory, guiding firm to absorb IOS better.
