Abstract :
Practical design methods for partial-spectrum-reconstruction (PSR) filter banks are presented. The filters are the discrete-Fourier-transform (DFT) or the discrete-cosine-transform (DCT) versions of prototype filters. The prototype filters are designed to minimize aliasing and distortions at the output. The proposed technique is extended to system with large numbers of channels (typically more than 1000 channels) using an interpolated filtering technique. Design examples are given to demonstrated the theory
