Abstract :
Automatic data entry plays an important role for improving speed and effectiveness for information technology. In order to recognize forms and join results into a database, it is necessary to correctly isolate geometrical objects and match forms with a pattern. Therefore, this paper presents some difficult problems of optical mark recognition such as detecting image skew, margins and basic geometrical objects, which are solved in the process of developing MarkRead, a software package for automatic mark data entry.
