Abstract
With scale spreading continually and components complicating gradually, security analysis to electric power grid had been a focus. Based on existing researches of electric power grid vulnerability, respectively definitions and new evaluation models of running state vulnerability and structural vulnerability were presented. Then a new evaluation thought combining intensity of state variable and structural character of component was proposed, and a universal model through which different assessment motives and results could be obtained in different state variable was established. Results of a numerical example showed that the model could do vulnerability assessment to power grid in different state variable, and it have a preferable ability and precision in distinguishing vulnerable units of power grid and could overcome the insufficiency of methods effectively which did in simplex aspect. So it could be a reference to power grid vulnerability assessment. Meanwhile, it was verified that the method was rational and available.
