  • Abstract
Both theoretical research and practical applications have shown that the introduction of scheduling rules can be quite effective to the solution of scheduling problems, especially very complex ones. In this sense, firstly a brief description of the connotation and classification of scheduling rules is stated; secondly a detailed analysis about how scheduling rules can be applied in the solution procedure is discussed from three different aspects; finally two theoretical problems in the research of scheduling rules are put forward with some analysis and proof presented based on a simple reentrant production line
