Abstract :
In FDMA digital cellular systems significant enhancement to capacity may be achieved if overlap of adjacent channel signal spectra could be tolerated. A receiver structure is proposed to recover data in the presence of significant interchannel interference. The proposed receiver takes full advantage of spectral redundancies in the digitally modulated signals and allows for a significant reduction in the channel spacing. This resulting increase in available channels increases the system capacity. The proposed system is analyzed and simulated for BPSK modulation, however, the concept is quite general and is applicable to other modulation formats
