  • Abstract
Accurately evaluating the regulation performance of AGC units is important for electric power security and power supply quality. The existing regulating performance evaluating methods of AGC units evaluates the regulation efficiency of AGC units according as efficiency elements of AGC units, such as regulation speed and regulation precision, and operating time of generators. But there is a disadvantage that there is no appropriate way to calculate a synthetical index to compare AGC units\´ synthetical performance at present, because of performance elements are different types. In order to solve this problem, this paper constructs an ideal curve after analyzing the AGC units\´ control performances and regulating actions, and summing up typical response progress to evaluation command. And then make a synthetical evaluation index combined with all efficiency elements by comparing practical regulation curve with the ideal curve. This is the ideal curve evaluating method. Because the ideal curve looks like a trumpet, this paper calls it "trumpet curve" evaluation method. This method can get a synthetical evaluation index directly, and it gets over the disadvantage of existing methods. At last, the simulation proves the rationality and validity of the method.
