Abstract :
This paper proposes a pressing and viable method for power system PMU placement, which is based on the project practical view. The proposed method does not pursue the completely observation, it proposes a practical method which considers the system´s main net framework and its key nodes observation. According to the concept of indirect observation, and based on the project practical view, and the MST and SA method, it deploys PMU on the main net framework and its key buses, and it also improved the state estimation with SCADA/EMS measurement and PMU measurement. Then the proposed method is validated by case studies and it is also tested in Yunnan power grid. The comparison results demonstrate that the proposed method is effective. It is propitious to the power system analysis, and it has some advanced points such as strong maneuverability and small investment, so the proposed method is practicable.
