Abstract :
This paper presents results of time-stepped 3D FEA of the inductor stage for use in a coupled inductor inverter (CII). CII use multi-winding inductor limbs to cancel switching frequency harmonics in the output of an inverter. Low frequency and switching frequency flux density patterns in the inductor core are modeled to help inform appropriate inductor design.
