Abstract :
The Genetic Algorithm (GA) is suggested to be combined with the Adaptive Frequency Sampling (AFS) technique to find the decoupling capacitors for suppressing the resonances of the large power/ground plane (PGP)s. In more detail, the AFS is used to characterize each of the divided regions of the PGPs and compound of the AFS results are used to evaluate the fitness or cost function in each GA iterative step.
