Abstract :
This paper makes a case for continuous phase modulation (CPM) as an option for space-time modem implementations. Using CPM can reduce the cost of individual transmitters while the use of multiple transmitters linearly increases the potential data rate. This paper show the performance of several proposed systems and compares the symmetric information rates of linear and continuous phase modulations.
