Abstract
Phase only correlation is commonly used in image matching, because it can measure displacement and rotation amount. A velocity measurement experimental platform is designed with the hardcore based on FPGA. FPGA is mainly used to process image data collected by camera, to realize the phase only correlation algorithm, to compute the maximum of phase only correlation values, and to output the calculated speed. The pipelined construction and Ping-pong operation is adopted in the design of FPGA to accelerate the processing speed of the system, experiment shows that the platform has a good performance in real time situation.
