Abstract :
This paper presents a method for determination of the FEM model electrothermal parameters in a switchgear medium voltage cell. The research includes thermal analysis as a consequence of the eddy currents phenomena, which is a coupled numerical problem. Calibration of the numerical model is based on the multiobjective optimization procedure. Multiobjective optimization is carried out with the differential evolution algorithm, which achieves the best possible agreement of measured temperature values on the test model and calculated values with the equivalent numerical model. Presented results are obtained for linear and non-linear case for eddy currents phenomena. The goal of the multiobjective optimization use is to calculate correct electrothermal parameters.
