Abstract
An analog smart sensor for active obstacle detection in the future intelligent automobile is presented. It integrates the entire optoelectronic portion of the active obstacle detection system, from image acquisition to laser spot position coding, on a single silicon die. A 64-pixel prototype circuit has been designed and fabricated in a 3 μm CMOS process. Some test results are discussed
