Abstract :
Data streams are infinite and continuous, so it´s difficult to treat the data streams by using existing DBMS. The CEP engine which is one solution for data streams processing detect complex events from real-time data streams using continuous query method. Through this method, we can detect interesting data and process them effectively. And we think that the selective processing of data streams in mobile terminal likes sensor-gateway becomes more important. In this paper, we describe the role of mobile CEP engines and the results of Vesper Android performance test which is the current developed mobile CEP. And based on the experiment results, we discuss the research directions of future mobile CEP engines.
