Abstract :
We consider the problem of adaptive modulation for broadband DS-CDMA fading channels with imperfect channel state information. The goal is to adapt the dimension and geometry of the signal constellation within the subspace spanned by a collection of random spreading codes (multicoding) in order to improve system performance in the presence of uncertainty regarding the true state of the channel.
