Abstract :
At present, the application of UV detection technology in power system is concerned by more and more people. Its using guides and standards are discussed warmly. Combined with the simulation experiment, the relationships between the number of UV photons, instrument gain and photograph distance are studied. And the corresponding relationship between the number of UV photons and the parameters of corona discharge such as the quantity of partial discharge, corona current are also studied in the severe non-uniform electrical field. The results show that the gain and distance have some effects on the number of UV photons. Users need to choose proper instrument gain and focus in application. UV photon number can be taken as an important index to judge the intensity of corona discharge.
