Abstract :
Experiments show that the vacuum arc discharge can radiate microwave. The peak power of microwave reaches 50 MW, the frequency of it is about 4 GHz, and the pulse width is about 200 ns. How is the microwave generated, and what is its mechanism? They are very important issues in EMC technology. The mechanism of microwave radiating from vacuum arc is discussed in this paper.
