Abstract
The presence of interharmonics may cause some negative effects on the power systems, such as malfunction of the remote control, CT transformation and relay systems. Based on a CT model established according to its operation principle and governing equations, a series of simulations are done through EMTP. From the results of simulations, two variables, the content and frequency of the interharmonic, that impact the performance of a CT can be found. Conclusions and suggestions are given finally.
