  • Abstract
Today on the field of information theory it is well known that the information content introduced by Shannon to be able to quantitatively describe the information is popular and based on the probability theory. But this theory express the quantitative object without considering the quality of information itself and cannot sufficiently express the information content to be considered of information essence from the semiotic view point. Especially the semiotic considering virtual reality on the Peirce´s semiotics shows the un-sufficiency of reflection of information essence by such an information content as Shannon´s information content. In this paper, firstly, the meaning of virtual reality and the Peirce´s semiotics are reconsidered, secondarily, the discussion of cognitive processes as an evolution of semiotics is performed, and finally, the possibility of existence of various kinds of information content is proposed by consideration of semiotic structure of information essence.
