Abstract
To assure high Single-Pole Auto-Reclosure success probability, it is necessary adequate modeling of significant aspects. In what concerns the arc, "physical" and "black-box" models present several drawbacks. The so-called "gray-box" model seems to be the most adequate. Some parameters and effects are directly considered, and others are synthesized by transfer functions. The model used in this work has some specific characteristics that allow an adequate modeling, within a large conditions\´ range, including non-conventional lines and procedures. This work presents some unusual approaches for secondary arc analysis, using a promising gray-box model under development.
