Abstract
Simulation is used to evaluate the performance of local area networks comprising several parallel broadcast channels to which stations connect by means of separate interfaces. Both the finite and infinite user population cases are considered. Stations can comprise a finite buffer space; when buffers are not available, transmission requests are rejected. The network performance is computed in terms of throughput average and variance of packet delay, and probability of packet rejection
