Abstract :
As the data-intensive application becomes increasingly important, The Grid-GMPLS is considered as a powerful control plane solution to support the data-intensive grid. Therefore, strong survivability must be emphasized in the supporting GMPLS infrastructure. In order to further investigate the deep impact of message loss of the resource reservation protocol-traffic engineering extensions (RSVP-TE) on the restoration performance of the services in the data-intensive Grid, a number of configurations are evaluated in conducting the restoration of connections with signaling message loss. Experimental results show that there exists great difference in the performances among various configurations, through which the most suitable one for data-intensive optical network is strongly recommended.
