Abstract :
An analytical method for reflection-spectrum envelope calculation of sampled gratings with different sampling periods and phase shifts is presented. In this paper we study the effects of different phase shifts and sampling lengths on the reflection spectrum envelope. The optimum values for phase shift and sampling segments length in order to achieve flat top reflection and maximum 3-dB bandwidth have been suggested.
