Abstract :
In reflective semiconductor optical amplifier (RSOA) based wavelength division multiplexing passive optical network (WDM-PON) system, reflection noise is a major factor impact on system performance. In this paper, a model experimental system is set up, in order to analyze various types of reflection noise in WDM-PON system, especially focus on the reflection noise and system performance of WDM-PON with 1.25 Gb/s downstream line rate, 155 Mb/s upstream line rate.
