Abstract :
This paper presents linear position detection method using simple magnetic sensors and its arrangements at a mover. The sensor structure and best mounting position are determined by finite element analysis and the performance of it is evaluated by considering total harmonic distortion of generated waves. The experimental results prove the validity of the developed sensor system and show possibility of it for linear position detection to some low-cost linear servo system.
