Abstract
A new class of data transmission filters is presented. This allows the shaping of pulses for transmission, which minimizes intersymbol interference while providing high amplitude selectivity and preserving good approximation to phase linearity over the band of interest. The denominator of the transfer function is given in closed form. The numerator is obtained by solving a set of linear algebraic equations
